环境与能源学院陶虎春副教授于2014年3月4日-10日赴美国橡树岭国家实验室环境科学部进行访问。访问期间，陶老师做了题为“Heavy Metal Pollution Control and Resource Recovery through Bioelectrochemical System (BES) Technology”的专题讲座，并介绍了北京大学和环境与能源学院的基本情况以及重金属污染控制与资源化重点实验室的部分研究成果。橡树岭国家实验室项目负责人Scott C. Brooks、David B. Watson、部分博士后及访问学者、斯坦福大学Wei-Min Wu高级研究员等参加了会议。报告后，与会人员就生物电化学系统在重金属污染控制与资源化方面的研究展开了讨论，并就北京大学、斯坦福大学以及橡树岭国家实验室之间的合作研究进行了探讨。
Assoc. Prof. Hu-Chun Tao visited Environmental Sciences Division of U.S. Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) from Mar 4 to Mar 10, 2014. During his visit, Dr. Tao gave a seminar about “Heavy Metal Pollution Control and Resource Recovery through Bioelectrochemical System (BES) Technology”. He introduced Peking University and the School of Environment and Energy, and presented part of his group’s research achievements. Principle Investigators David B. Watson and Scott C. Brooks from ORNL, postdoctors and visiting scholars at ORNL and Senior Research Engineer Wei-Min Wu from Stanford University attended the meeting. After the presentation, the participants held a discussion about BESs’ application in heavy metal pollution control and reutilization and the cooperation among Peking University, ORNL and Stanford University.
