Ever since its foundation, the Education Forum of Asia has become a high-level platform for Educational officers, scholars and experts, international organizations and enterprises to communicate and cooperate. It is serving as ‘the bridge between Asian countries for educational cooperation’. The 亚洲留学奖学金 was first proposed by Wangrong Li, the former general secretary of China Scholarship Council. The idea of the scholarship was to encourage the exchange of Asian students and scholars within the region, to promote better understanding between Asian people, to improve overall education in Asia and to expand communication and cooperation of education. The 亚洲留学奖学金 mainly aims at funding academic activities of university students and professors, to encourage them engage in more profound academic cooperation, so that everyone of them could become a messenger of Asian culture and education. By far, 22 universities have donated scholarships to the Forum, including Peking University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Macao Foundation, etc. There were over 270 award winners, coming from Malaysia, Philippine, the USA, etc.
Peking University HSBC Business School, located in Shenzhen, brings Peking University’s historical presence to the country’s south. The new school manages to benefit from the dynamic, entrepreneurial spirit of the thriving city without sacrificing the academic standards for which Peking University has always been known. In addition, PHBS takes advantage of Shenzhen’s proximity to Hong Kong, a world financial hub, to provide unmatched opportunities for the entire campus community. The donation is a way for PHBS to bear its social responsibility, to expand its international exchange and cooperation, and to make its own contribution to Asia.
