金秋开学季，青春正当时，历经疫情的磨砺，跨越思念的距离，南燕再度迎来世界各地的留学生，他们带着俄罗斯、加拿大、韩国、亚美尼亚、法国、和马来西亚等地的热情，与东方相交，与时代相通，他们将在这里开启新的人生旅程。
疫情没能影响留学生对学校的热情与憧憬，也没有阻挡南燕对留学生的迎接和牵挂。今年由于新冠疫情影响，我校留学生采取线上、线下相结合的报到方式。为全力做好线下留学生迎新环节的各项工作，学工处统筹汇丰商学院、国际法学院，组建留学生服务团队，一对一接待新生，为留学生提供一站式服务，迅速的完成了报到注册，资格查验，宿舍登记，保险缴费，电话卡和校园卡办理与住宿登记等流程，并开展一系列帮留助留活动。
领导关怀
在新生入学教育期间，北京大学校务委员会副主任、原副校长、汇丰商学院创院院长海闻教授与汇丰商学院副院长朴永濬教授（Young Joon Park）看望了2022级国际新生，并开展了亲切的交流。
信息分享
8月23日，周二上午9：00，校园信息分享会在国际友人之家（宿舍3号楼）举办。分享会邀请了汇丰商学院国际办公室主任毛娜老师和尹易老师为2022级新生做校园信息分享和答疑。分享会涵盖了国际学生关心的学业、签证、校园居住和设施、深圳周边及旅行等问题。另外，来自北大深研院校园顾问团队的三位校园顾问（环能2021级代宇宸，国法2021级邵慧，国法2021级赵丹妮）也来到了分享会现场与国际新生交流并解答校园问题。
校园观光
8月23日下午，2022级国际新生参观游览了大学城内的学习和生活设施，包括6号楼学生活动中心、北大园区各学院楼和教学楼、国际法学院、汇丰商学院、图书馆、大学城核酸点、清华园区和哈工大园区与大学城体育中心场馆。学工处实习生李洋老师作为导游为各位国际学生介绍设施场馆条件、使用时间和注意事项。
文化讲座
8月24日下午，北大深研院开展了文化冲击讲座和国际学生新生老生交流会，讲座由汇丰商学院国际办公室邓李斯特老师主持。在交流现场，各位新生围绕跨文化交流等主题，介绍了自己国家和中国的一些文化习惯差异；高年级学生则通过自己的经历为新生入学后如何快速融入校园文化提供建议。
初入南国燕园，融入新的环境，让我们听一听其中3位国际新生来南燕后的感受吧。
1. Chelsea Huang，黄千禧，法国，汇丰商学院UK校区2021级金融学
Before arriving in Shenzhen, I felt very anxious and nervous. Because the last time I went to campus was during my undergraduate studies, which was two and a half years ago, I was worried that I would not be able to adapt. But after arriving, teachers of the international office, the campus advisors and students all helped me a lot. I feel a lot more relaxed now that I am more familiar with everyone, it feels like I found myself a new family; we go to class together, eat together, go shopping together, exercise together, study together, and play together. After making some friends, the matter of going back to offline classes seems less scary than before. The lecturers speak and explain clearly and care about whether the students can understand the concepts, so I feel pretty much relieved and less anxious. I am very grateful for everything until now and wish us all the best on this amazing journey!
2. Jeong Jun,郑俊基，韩国，汇丰商学院2022级企业管理
Meeting new people always gives me motivation. Moreover, Shenzhen is the city of innovation. Everything is new, clean and young. The same is true of PHBS campus. Not only new buildings and accommodations, but also professors, teachers, and classmates are always open-minded and energetic. These constant sources of inspiration are sources of learning and personal development. I hope many people will achieve their goals in here. I also will keep doing my best every day. It is my hope to meet you there again with a smile when we achieve our goals.
3. Emily Gorthuis,华茉莉，加拿大，汇丰商学院2022级金融学
Attending Peking University is a dream come true for many students like myself. Everyone here is highly intelligent, hard-working, and passionate about their subject. The first time I arrived at PKUSZ, I was completely mesmerized by the beautiful campus. The campus is surrounded by mountains and trees, and is the ideal place to study. Although I’ve only been here one week, I’ve already made life long friends from all around the world. Everyone here is brought together by common interests - a thirst for knowledge and a love for China. I am greatly looking forward to starting my new journey here!
